Hotel Tips

Upon check-in, slip the desk agent a tip and ask for the best room they can find at your current booked rate. Often times a quick $10 or $20 bill can go a long way towards the mood of the person who directly decides where you lay your head for the night.

Always find a reason to email the front desk manager in hotels that you plan to visit again. Tell them what they did right and express your plans to stay again and ask what opportunities there might be for frequent discounts or upgrades on your next visits. If you become friends with the manager, you just might get the friends and family rate some day.

Bring an actual credit card to avoid deposits and pre-authorizations consuming money in your checking account which will reduce your available balance. Hotels that accept paper cash often ask for a hefty deposit to cover potential damages in your room leaving you scrambling to find an ATM.

Things To Do

Redondo Beach is a great place to rent a bike and take it for a ride around downtown. There are many bike shops that sell bike and accessories as well as provide service and tuning on your ride. Don't forget your helmet and other protective gear such as reflective gear, headlight and horn.

Redondo Beach gives several options to find the right piece of art as it takes time and a diligent effort to get just the right piece. Shopping for art downtown is the best way to locate your next purchase.

Redondo Beach hosts several events per year for your listening enjoyment but visit your piano shop to learn how to play and possibly purchase your grand, upright or digital piano. Don't forget the specialty work involved such as tuning and moving which are performed by skilled technicians.

Why Do You Love Downtown?

Deborah
Jacksonville is utterly charming! I love browsing Terra Firma and Pickety Place, eating delicious Umi Sushi, and sitting under the amazing wisteria in the Bella Union garden. I always go to the library in that sweet little building, where Lauren the librarian knows me by name (and recommends good books). The Good Bean people are awfully nice, and even the clerks at Umpqua Bank are especially kind and friendly. Best little downtown ever!

Megan H.
I love being able to browse a variety of my favorite restaurants and bars, all within easy walking distance of convenient parking. Enjoying local fare and live music downtown after a grilling day at the office makes every day feel like the weekend.

Rita
Maureen is there

Shari
the scenery, the people, love the activities that go on, even on holidays Ashland is the best to be in, the adventures and animals you can see on a daily bases, and most of all, kid friendly

Michelle Reesey
Haven't been there yet. Trip is planned in April.
